AN INTEGRATED MARKETING STRATEGY FOR A MOBILE CHILDCARE CONCEPT.
WeCare is a mobile childcare concept designed around convenience, safety, and flexibility for modern families. The project explored how a new service could differentiate itself in a crowded childcare market — and, more importantly, how an unfamiliar business model could earn parents’ trust.
The concept combined qualified childcare professionals, a mobile service, customizable activities, and digital touchpoints that let parents stay connected throughout the childcare experience.
RESEARCH AND INSIGHTS
Understanding what families value most.
Through market and competitor research, we identified four ideas that shaped the brand's development.
CONVENIENCE
Traditional childcare often requires families to adapt to fixed locations and schedules. A mobile model could bring the service closer to where families already were.
TRUST
Childcare is fundamentally built on trust. Introducing mobility meant safety and transparency needed to become central parts of the brand proposition.
FLEXIBILITY
WeCare was designed to accommodate different family needs — from after-school care and date nights to events and more immediate childcare needs.
EXPERIENCE
Childcare could be more than supervision. Learning, activities, social interaction, and customizable experiences could create value for both children and parents.
Our analysis ultimately identified flexibility, qualified caregivers, and an engaging childcare environment as potential strengths while recognizing safety concerns and limited physical space as important challenges.
THE CHALLENGE
How might a mobile childcare brand turn convenience into something parents can trust?
The childcare market already offered families plenty of options. Traditional childcare centers provided structured environments and established standards, while online platforms gave parents greater flexibility in finding individual caregivers.
WeCare proposed something different: bringing the childcare experience directly to families.
But mobility created a new challenge. The same feature that made the service convenient could also create concerns around safety, reliability, and quality. Our challenge was therefore not simply to introduce a new childcare service, but to develop a brand proposition that made an unfamiliar model feel credible, safe, and valuable.
THE POSITIONING
Convenience. Care. Trust.
Rather than positioning mobility as the product itself, we built the concept around what mobility could give families: greater flexibility without sacrificing confidence in the quality of care.
The resulting brand proposition brought together three ideas:
Convenience — childcare that comes to you.
Care — an experience designed around children and families.
Trust — transparency and safety throughout the experience.
Together, these became the foundation for WeCare’s communications strategy.
THE STRATEGY
One idea. Multiple touchpoints.
We developed an integrated marketing approach that carried the WeCare proposition across digital, experiential, earned, and traditional channels.
The original strategy incorporated social advertising, emerging technology, public relations, personal selling, consumer promotion, and financial planning.
SOCIAL | Instagram · Pinterest
Social platforms introduced the WeCare concept visually and created opportunities to communicate with parents about family life, childcare, and the brand experience.
EXPERIENCE | Online VR Tour · A Child’s Perspective
Because the service introduced an unfamiliar physical environment, technology became another way to make the experience more tangible before purchase.
The concept explored digital experiences that could allow families to understand WeCare from both the parent’s and child’s perspective.
PR & COMMUNICATIONS | Campaign Messaging · Community Engagement · Media Relations
Public relations gave the brand an opportunity to move beyond functional product messaging and participate in larger conversations relevant to the families it hoped to serve.
PROMOTION | Print · Billboard · Consumer Activation
Traditional advertising and promotional touchpoints extended the same brand proposition into physical spaces and created additional opportunities for awareness.
FEATURED CAMPAIGN
BE BOLD - Moms can take it all with WeCare.
One of WeCare’s key audiences was single-parent families. Instead of communicating childcare solely as a practical necessity, we explored a different narrative: childcare as an enabler of independence.
The Be Bold campaign focused on working single mothers and the tension between professional ambition, personal life, and childcare responsibilities.
The message encouraged mothers to pursue their own goals while positioning WeCare as a source of support, flexibility, and safety.
COMMUNICATION WITH PURPOSE
Building different messages around different needs.
The broader PR strategy explored how WeCare could communicate its values through issues relevant to families and children.
Three communication territories were developed around single parenthood, child abuse and neglect, and children with different abilities.
Across these directions, the brand consistently returned to several core ideas:
Safety. Empathy. Education. Social connection.
For example, one message emphasized WeCare’s intention to provide quality service to children regardless of ability, connecting the service experience with education and opportunities for social interaction.
The goal was to build a brand voice that communicated both what WeCare provided and what WeCare stood for.
FROM MESSAGE TO EXPERIENCE
Taking “Be Bold” beyond advertising.
The Be Bold message became an experiential PR concept centered on entrepreneurial single mothers.
BE BOLD
An Afternoon for Entrepreneurial Mothers
The proposed event combined an afternoon tea, guest storytelling, networking, thought leadership, and an introduction to the WeCare service.
Rather than simply advertising to the target audience, the activation was designed to create a space in which the brand could participate directly in the community it wanted to support.
THE BIGGER IDEA
From market insight to brand experience.
WeCare began with a simple business idea:
What if childcare could come to families instead of families always having to go to childcare?
But developing the concept required more than communicating convenience.
Market research revealed that mobility needed to be balanced by trust. Trust required safety and transparency. Those ideas also needed to stay consistent across advertising, digital experiences, PR, promotions, and real-world interactions.
The result was an integrated marketing concept built around a simple relationship:
INSIGHT → POSITIONING → MESSAGE → CHANNEL → EXPERIENCE
